Shuichi freezes with a hand on the door, glad he at least managed to turn around because his face was probably doing something ridiculous right now. If he didn't even know how he felt about this -- dropped into an arguably much better situation but with everything he'd managed to build gone and no certainty if any of it ever existed -- how the hell could he tell what kind of face he was making?
Mentally scrambling for a response that wouldn't make him sound crazy or like an asshole, he ran his free hand through his hair agitatedly. He'd woken up in the locker with his hat on, of course, but it hadn't felt right to keep it on after everything he could remember.]

Except he can see through the glass door, and Miu has managed to approach Kaede and looks like she's building up towards her goal, hands unsubtly behind her back no doubt fiddling with a date ticket and typical bluster gone in the face of potential rejection. It's kind of cute and kind of pathetic and Shuichi doesn't have it in him to burst in and interrupt.
