[ Ouma doesn't quite understand why Saihara would choose to hang out with him of all people, but it's not like he's going to complain about it -- it's not boring, and he likes hanging out with Saihara, anyway. Not that he'd ever straight up admit as much.

Right now, Ouma's preoccupying himself with one of the casino games, seemingly pretty into it if his reaction speed is anything to go by. It doesn't take him long to wrap up whatever round he's on, and he dusts his hands off as soon as he's finished, looking fairly pleased. ]

Wow! Another win? Yep, this proves it -- my luck must be super good today!

[ He's going to turn to look over at Saihara and whatever game he'd chosen, absently thinking that part of that good fortune includes getting so much frivolous time uninterrupted here, especially given the present circumstances. ]

What about you, Saihara-chan? How many coins do you have--?

[ He's going to try peeking over closer to see how Saihara's faring. Is he sucking or nah?? ]

[He stares at Ouma for a long moment, uncomprehending. He doesn't need more clarification, it just kinda takes a second to process and make sense of. But at least the moment when he does catch on is obvious and probably fairly entertaining. His brows, knitted together in thought, suddenly arch up, and his mouth opens slightly in somethting like disbelief.]

Oh. I'm not...I mean, uh...

[He wants to protest that he's not just ditching Ouma, but...he is, kinda? But Ouma just suggested he should. He'd be more flustered and frustrated if not for the fact that it's Ouma and such a reaction is probaby what was intended in the first place. Shuichi bites back a sigh, closing his mouth before his can stick his foot in it.

It's not like he's against it, anyway.

But goddamn. He hesitates just a bit too long, hyper-aware of how obvious his own hesitation is and unable to keep his eyes from drifting down to Ouma's mouth. This was easy enough just like, what, ten minutes ago? He didn't even need to think about it. But he can't help but feel somehow self-conscious just sitting here, fully dressed and thinking clearly. Like it could be a prank and Ouma will laugh at him if he actually goes for it. Or it isn' and Ouma's expecting something from him that he won't deliver.

He's probably overthinking this.

That doesn't make his heart calm down any or his face less pink.

Drawing a breath and hoping it isn't horribly obvious how he needs to steel himself, he leans in to press a kiss to Ouma's lips, chaste and soft.]

[ His face is even as he waits expectantly, blinking at Shuichi's hesitating and dropping his hand down to rest it in his own lap. He genuinely wonders if Shuichi's going to go for it, although he supposes it wouldn't be surprising if he didn't...not after all the trouble and doubt Ouma's caused him. Stuff he won't apologize for. In fact, it's probably better if he ends up pushing Shuichi away further.

Even if he wants to get closer simultaneously. Hm.

Ouma kicks his feet lightly, almost impatiently as he keeps his eyes on Shuichi.

-- But then Shuichi draws his breath, and he does end up going for it. It makes Ouma's heart skip a beat as he feels immensely pleased about it. He pushes back into it in reciprocation just enough that Shuichi knows he really wanted it, and the corners of Ouma's mouth turn up in the middle of the kiss -- he's definitely wearing a smile again as they separate.

That's better. ]

Nee-heehee... See? That wasn't bad at all, right?

[ Ouma moves his arms back behind him slightly, placing his palms flat against the mattress as he leans on them in a more relaxed way.

He probably looks akin to a satisfied cat right now -- but he essentially is. ]

Now I can easily get my beauty sleep tonight just from knowing that Saihara-chan is such a proper guy!

[ Absolutely nothing about this situation was proper but go off, Ouma. ]

[There's a not-insignificant part of him that's kinda horrified by how improper this whole thing has been. He never would have thought himself the type to get into anything like this without like, a few dates first. Dinner, at the very least. Even if Ouma had instigated everythingand serms perfectly content right now, Shuichi still can't help but feel almost like he's taken advantage somehow.

It's a pretty irrational worry, he knows.

Shuichi's stare lingers on Ouma's face for a few seconds, trying to read whatever sentiment he can in that smile. But then he tears his gaze away and makes himself stand up before he can get caught in any additional nonsense.]

I guess I'll just...head out then.

[Ouma had basically told him to, right? This isn't a huge dick move, right???]

[ Listen, they had a few rock-paper-scissors and tea breaks, they are the poster children for good dates and build-up. And what's more romantic than stabbing yourself in the hand with a knife?

Ouma starts kicking his feet from where he's sitting on the bed as Shuichi gets up, feeling a little restless but not moving from his spot. ]

O-kay! I'll see you later, Saihara-chan!

[ Ouma calls after him, sounding pretty cheery.

There is a part of him that feels a little let down, even though he flat-out told Shuichi to leave and prefers, logically, that it ends like this. So he's going to let it.

But man, it would've been nice to be able to spend the night with him or something like that. Isn't that how these things usually go...? Ouma doesn't know. He's glad he even got this much.

So this is fine.

Once Shuichi leaves, he'll fall backwards, stretching out his arms and letting his torso hit the mattress unceremoniously so he can lie on the bed. He'll listlessly stare at that tacky, tacky chandelier for a while as he's lost in his own head -- as he always is. ]
