[ Ouma (who is keeping close tabs on the whole conversation in the room right now) had noticed Kaito talking to Shuichi, as well as the fact that Shuichi had forgone paying attention to kick him back -- so it only brings a grin to Ouma's face when Kaito snaps Shuichi back and he gets that self-conscious look on his face, complete with that piss poor excuse. It's pretty satisfying, having snared Shuichi's attention like that.
He snickers quietly about it, enough so that Shuichi can hear him before he moves to fixate his attention on finishing off whatever he's eating.
The conversation in the room ultimately seems to die out as the others nearly finish their breakfast too, and it doesn't seem like the Monokubs will be making an appearance today. There's vague talk about stopping Angie and her cult, but no solid plans from these guys (of course), and some of them are just plain disinterested in the whole thing because breakfast has apparently turned into "the group of standoffish loners" -- excluding Kaito. Which probably explains why the conversation never got too crazy...
