Which is to say, welcome to the morning after Ouma and Shuichi's game went a little further than it probably should have. Ouma had ended up killing even more time in the tacky love hotel by giving it another, more thorough investigative sweep -- not that he found anything particularly useful, but it's good to know the layout of the place and what exactly can all be found in there item-wise. Who knows what might end up being useful or relevant in this mutual killing game fiasco. Although he lowkey hopes some of the shit he found never ends up being relevant -- but knowing Miu, it's possible.

So Ouma's a little sleep deprived, between staying out that much later and...the general exhaustion...plus his inability to stop thinking about it. Even though he'll act like he slept like an absolute baby, 'cause he's a liar. He's even dragged himself to the cafeteria for breakfast, because that's how utterly unaffected he is. Plus, he is hungry.

Thankfully (but also annoyingly, because now he's gotta go see what they're up to right now), most of the ~*~student council~*~ of Angie's, aka the brainwashed idiots, aren't really around right now. That leaves...Korekiyo, Maki, Miu, and Kaito. What a wack group. Although one of the others might show up later...or altogether, since they're teaming up. No Shuichi either, which is interesting.

But not unsurprising, he supposes.

He doubts anything would've happened to him, but there's a paranoid part of him that kind of wonders.

He's almost considering just nabbing some snacks and taking them up to his room right now, because this is pretty uninteresting!! No fights breaking out or anything. Plus, the meal quality around here has really taken a nosedive since Kirumi's death. Oh, well...

The Monokubs will probably show up to say something inane, so he should stick around. ]

Don't focus on the fact that Ouma's hand prompty shakes slightly at the feeling of having something on it (at least he's getting some of it out of his hair??), and he returns it back to the water to get it off shortly after. But not without making a fleetingly grossed out face at the sudden reminder against his hand of the soap in his hair.

It's totally unfair that Shuichi's washing his own hair out first too, and Ouma frowns before inching closer to him, letting his legs bump against Shuichi's more like he isn't even bothered by it. ]

Yeah, duh. What else would I want you to do? Check me out while I bathe?

[ He says it sarcastically, but as if that would even be a likelihood given by how much Shuichi's glancing away and averting his eyes like they hadn't just fucked or something.

But that's why Ouma mentions it, of course. ]

[No, he will not be teased into submission here. Especially since Ouma doesn't even seem to be getting his point. He gives Ouma a dry look, forcing himself to hold it steady for at least a few seconds and willing the blush down as best he can.]

[Which, by the way, is hard right now because goddammit, bubble bath just turns to foam if you scrub at it. And hand scooping water isn't cery efficent, but the tub isn't exactly made for more than one person so he doesn't really have the room to scoot down and submerge his head...]

[ Ouma scoffs, like he's the one being wronged here or insulted or something. He's not like other girls, Shuichi!! But he suddenly perks up after a moment of this contrariness, leaning forward in the water slightly with a grin, which causes a bit of a slosh against the walls of the tub. ]

-- Okay, how about this? I wash yours for you in exchange! Poof, no more favors here!

[ He doesn't really even wait for an answer from Shuichi before placing a hand on Shuichi's shoulder and yet again getting closer to him, using his other hand to swat Shuichi's away like he's taking over here. ]

[That...worked better than expected, given he was prepared for some kind of argument about owing Ouma for making him so sore or whatever. He had counterarguments ready and everything, cool logic to combat the teasing and contrariness he was anticipating..

Not that he'll complain about not having to use any of that. This is definitely easier.

His shoulder slump a little, and some of the hardness eases out of his face, either wavering as Ouma gets right up in his personal bubble like that, basically sitting between his legs, or just taking what little cooperation he can get and giving in. He sighs, letting Ouma nudge his hand away from his hair.]

Fine. That's fair.

[Y u p. Fair and cooperative and he is definitely focusing on that and not Ouma's face and neck so directly in front of him he can't look anywhere else without it being very obvious. It's not the closest they've been by any means, but it still feels intimate as hell somehow. Is thatcreepy of him to think? He's done open baths with his family before and had someone else wash his hair and stuff, there's nothing inherently suggestive about it. No, it's Ouma's fault if his brain is going weird directions here, he's the one bringing up bedroom shit and he instigated everything anyway...

Lips pressing together in an attempt at unphasedness that just ends up looking awkward, he hoverhands for a few seconds, unsure where to put them and eventually settling on a faint grip at Ouma's sides just above the waterline.]

Ouma grins happily at the sudden complacency Shuichi gives him over this, moving his other hand from Shuichi's shoulder so that he can begin mussing his wet fingers through Shuichi's hair. It definitely starts a lather, but it'll be easier to wash off that way, Ouma figures. Plus, Shuichi's hair will be all nice and clean -- not that Ouma's gotten cum in it this time, at least.

He's kind of taking his sweet time with this, dragging his fingers along Shuichi's scalp gently and a bit gratuitously, almost giving him massaging motions alongside Shuichi's temples here and there. He's also a little too aware of how awkward Shuichi's been this entire time, and the way Shuichi's hands lightly hold at his sides serve as a consistent reminder, so of course he's not going to wash Shuichi's hair quietly here. ]

Feel free to check me out as much as you like -- just for you, I won't even get anything in your eyes!

He's clearly teasing Shuichi further here, though. He can't help it with Shuichi acting like this!! Plus, Ouma's just a little too sharp to not have caught on that Shuichi tends to look at him a lot during sex while getting flustered about looking at him outside of it. Just look at him all the time, Shuichi!! ]

Shuichi's not sure what he expected, really. Not this thorough and soothing scalp massage. But maybe he should have. For someone who makes such a big show of being a selfish evil Supreme Leader, Ouma's proven to be surprisingly considerate, gentle when needed and too attentive for the "selfish" part to be entirely believeable. His fingers feel very nice, and between that attention and the hot water the tension does slowly leak out of him. His eye drift shut and he sighs softly, head dipping forward a little and hands settling a bit more firmly against Ouma's ribs.

Hell, even Ouma's normal teasing seems a little less aggravating and embarassing like this. Shuichi's mouth twists a little in mild exasperation, but he doesn't even look up to respond.]

I'm not checking you out...

[There's no real scolding in it anymore, the harsher edges all blunted and smoothed down. A good fucking followed by a hot bath and a massage can do that.]

[ A rare moment in which Shuichi isn't stressing about something? Maybe he needs this kind of thing more often. Ouma hums thoughtfully and with light amusement as he continues working his fingers in light circles, noticing how much more relaxed in general Shuichi seems -- Shuichi's hands holding his sides like that with a little more confidence is very welcome, and it really only makes Ouma want to keep this up.

He moves his hands more toward the back of Shuichi's head to work on him there a bit, giving extra attention to the small dip at the base of his skull near the nape of his neck -- it's because it's too easy to forget about the softer, shorter hair back there and not because Ouma is curious about whether or not Shuichi might like having that spot massaged a bit. Totally.

He's having fun with this for some reason, especially with the nice reaction of Shuichi relaxing to it so well -- it's probably akin to scritching a puppy's ears and watching them melt, and that image only serves to amuse Ouma further.

Still, at that comment, he bothers to put on a mock-pouting tone, even if it just ends up sounding really fake: ]

[Ouma, please stop ruining his relaxation with your bullshit. He sighs again, cheeks coloring a little despite the obvious acting and despite his own obvious enjoyment of the attention otherwise -- the puppy metaphor is probably pretty apt, given how he arches his neck a little under the touch. He's not quite so ready with a response for that one, frowning slightly for a moment while he fumbles for an answer that won't make him sound like either a creep or a headcase.]

[How can he explain the nonsense of his brain properly? It's not that he doesn't appreciate good sexy shit, just...he can't separate that from the person when he knows that person, and it feels weird to ogle a friend. Like he's objectifying them or something. He's seen too many infidelity cases and disappointing background checks, messy situations tied up in romance and sex and shit, and he doesn't want to be one of those kinds of guys, the sort that seem to forget that the people they're involved with are people who can be hurt.

...Yeah, there's probably some element of overthinking it in all that. He knows it's probably an overreaction. It's better not to open that can of worms. Ouma's looking for a fun time, maybe some kind of companionship. He's not looking to become Shuichi's therapist.]

[ .......Okay, but Ouma practically preens at that response regardless, his expression lighting up a bit as he bites down on his own lip to keep from smiling any bigger. Why is a stupid comment like that serving to make him giddy? But Shuichi said he likes him...

Christ. Okay, Ouma moves his hands at this point to scoop some water in them to toss on Shuichi's head to start rinsing these suds out. And he'll do this a few times -- not really giving Shuichi a break in-between, because he wouldn't dare open his eyes while having water dumped on his head, and that's ideal right now so Shuichi can't see Ouma's face having slightly more color to it right now.

It's the hot bath's fault, anyway. ]

Well. Mostly unserious. It's a good look, but he's not picky about Shuichi's appearance per se here. He's just kind of gay in general for him. ]

[It's coarse enough to get a reaction out if him even while so otherwise at ease and knowing full well that a reaction is what Ouma's after. He sputters, opening his eyes to look up at Ouma indignantly, but he's forced to clench them shut again and duck his head to avoid soapy water running into his eyes. Unfair.

There's a part of him that would love to say he likes Ouma better when he's too fuckdrunk to keep a tightly controlled expression. Or, y'know, something to that effect but somehow less vulgar. But even wording it more politely is a bit beyond him at this point. Hell, just thinking it makes him feel a little ashamed, even despite meaning it so...well, "innocently" doesn't feel like the right word, but it's something like that. He just likes the rare opportunity to see Ouma so open and honest. That doesn't feel wrong by itself, but the opportunity in question is just so wrapped up in something so sexual.

It'd be nice if he could get that same chance without having to go so far.

(Not that going so far is bad, just...y'know.)

When Ouma finally eases up on the rinsing, he brings a hand back to his face to shove his wet bangs out of his eyes, shooting Ouma a weary look.]

I think you just like watching me get flustered.

[ Innocent is definitely not the right word for that, Shuichi.

But Ouma grins at getting the reaction he had wanted, letting his hands drop back into the water with a shrug at Shuichi calling him out. ]

You got me! It's not my fault you make those stupid, cute faces whenever you are though.

[ Anybody would wanna see those!! Another reason Shuichi's better without the hat. ]

... My turn!

[ Ouma suddenly announces, and he's going to grab the edges of the tub so he can turn himself around between Shuichi's legs, giving the other the entire back of his head within reach for easy washing. ]

[Is that a compliment or more teasing? Shuichi looks like he isn't sure which, coloring a little even while frowning slightly in frustration. Even if Ouma says "cute", it's a little...hard to accept. Maybe because of his shitty self-esteem, maybe because Ouma always buries everything he says in so much insincerity and playing around that it's hard to take even the little things seriously.

But this is...easier, definitely. A breath eases out of him as Ouma re-settles in between his legs. It's a bit of an embarassing position, but objectively it's obviously less so than many of the positions they've been in the last two days. Really, it's just that he feels a thousand times more awkward when Ouma's watching him, extra self-conscious over every moment of hesitation or not knowing what he's doing, like any little bit of fumbling will be the one that pushes it all over the edge from (apparently) endearing to annoying and the constant teasing will turn to straight-up mocking and disinterest.

(Not that he was really looking to end up in this whole situation with Ouma in the first place, but it'd still probably hurt if Ouma just lost interest because he proved to be too boring or awkward or inexperienced or whatever.)

Yeah. It's a lot easier when he doesn't feel so watched.

The repositioning also gives them a bit of extra space to work with, and Ouma's smaller to begin with. Laying a hand on the back of Ouma's head, he presses down and forward lightly like he's trying to get him to duck his head under the water, tapping with one finger at the mess of liquid bubble bath still in Ouma's hair.]

Rinse this out first, at least. You should be washing your hair with actual shampoo...

[And, y'know. His hair, too. He just doesn't really want to complain about a rare nice gesture from Ouma, though, so...he'll deal with his hair looking a little off for a day.]

Ouma leans a little with Shuichi's minimal head pressing, wondering for a fleeting second if he's really just half-assing it here and wants him to dunk his head under the water. But then he ends up smirking at Shuichi's words with a light shrug of his shoulders, like he doesn't quite get Shuichi's request. It's all soapy and lathers up, okay!! ]

Huh? Really? And to think I've been using dish soap all this time--!!

[ That much...he hasn't. I mean, he might, but he's really just trying to offend Shuichi's sensibilities here a little more.

Sucking in a breath of air to hold, Ouma pretty inelegantly dunks his head under the water for a second, bringing his hands up to the back of his head to try and work out the soapy mess in his hair. He might splash Shuichi a bit just by virtue of moving around so much as he does all this. When he comes back up, he musses at his own hair with wet hands a bit as if to gauge if there's much soap left. ]

I really hope that's a lie...

[It sounds like it from Ouma's tone. He's really hoping it is, because his sensibilities are indeed offended as fuck.

Really, he might as well be washing a dog as much as he's getting splashed here. He'd be more put out if he weren't already naked and wet anyway, so Shuichi just rolls his eyes at the sloppy display and leans around Ouma to snag both the bottles of shampoo and conditioner off the side of the tub. He intends to at least do his part the right way.

Pouring some shampoo into his palm -- the stuff the bathroom had come stocked with came in an ugly Monokuma-themed bottle, but it smells nice and seemed effective enough -- and hesitates only briefly before he just goes ahead and rubs it into Ouma's hair. It definitely lathers up better in such thoroughly wet hair too, better than it probably would have with a few hand-scoops of water. He's careful as he works, reaching around to sweep Ouma's bangs better up into the lather and making sure the soapy mess won't drip forwards into Ouma's eyes.]

[ Shuichi has no right to be too offended for a guy whose proper hair maintenance wasn't even appreciable for so long with his awkward hat look. Maybe Shuichi's hair will only get fluffier now without it -- which is good, because that will make it more fun to play with.

Ouma sighs quietly through his nose between the strangely relaxing feeling of having someone wash his hair (it's been A While) and the pleasant scent from an actual shampoo. ]

You're pretty good with your hands. Is that like, a detective thing?

[ While Shuichi is working on him, Ouma stretches his arms along the surface of the water and leans forward briefly with them for the sole purpose of skimming a big pile of the bubble bath in his arms and closer to him.

Which he's going to blow on, sending tinier (mostly inoffensive but still distracting) bubbles all over the place. Because of course. ]

[The corner of Shuichi's lips twitch as Ouma plays with the bubbles like a kid. It's not the worst kind of mess Ouma could be making, at least. He should probably be grateful for that.]

I don't know. I didn't think detectives were known for their manual dexterity.

[Is that the build up to some joke? Or maybe just subtle manipulation to get him to try even harder to live up to that compliment? If it's the latter, well...it kinda works, either out of some small and rarely-seen hint of pride or just the renewed awareness of his own hands. It doesn't really bother him to think of that possibility, though. Ouma had put in the effort for him, after all (despite forgoing actual shampoo). And it's kind of soothing to just relax in the warm water, gently working his fingers through Ouma's hair and scraping at his scalp. With the embarassment dying down some, it's intimate and comfortable, maybe in that way he'd been kind of craving after their abrupt separation yesterday evening.

It's just...nice. Which almost feels like a trap -- everything with Ouma's like that, like if he gets too comfortable he'll get surprised with some nonsense. It keeps him on his toes, certainly. But he can probably relax a little, just enjoy the hot water soothing muscles he's not used to using and Ouma being relatively pliable and harmless.]

[ Ouma doesn't immediately respond for a second, if only because Shuichi working his fingers more is a little distracting and super relaxing -- he could probably fall asleep like this or something. He isn't getting enough sleep quite as it is, and throwing in all the...exertion he's just done, it'd be easy to doze off here. Ouma lets his shoulders drop a bit, sinking in the water a little more in content leisure. ]

Well, have you ever heard of a clumsy detective? Imagine how much valuable evidence would be at risk!

[ But he won't shut up yet. Yeah, if he keeps running his mouth, that'll keep him from falling asleep in the bath. His tone does come across more enervated than energized right now, though. ]

Yep, you might as well just forget about being a detective if you're dumb, klutzy, or ugly.

[The subtle signs of relaxation don't escape Shuichi's notice, and that plus the innocuous babbling is just kind of oddly endearing. True, he's now seen Ouma at an objectively more vulnerable moment mid-fuck, but this does feel special somehow. For all his playfull apparently carelessness, he doesn't associate Ouma with any kind of ease or softness. It's a manner very at odds with the sharp-tongued boy everyone is used to, the one that's quick to jump on any show of weakness and guards himself behind walls miles high.

A slight smile escapes him, tragically unseen with Ouma facing away from him.]

[He'll give you "dumb" though. And a fair argument has been made about "klutzy".

Satisfied that he's done a thorough enough job shampoo-ing, his hands slide down the back of Ouma's neck to rest on his shoulders for a moment.]

[ At least Shuichi is nice enough to ask him to close his eyes... Ouma kind of forgot that part (or didn't care too much...or was confident in his ability to not get it in Shuichi's eyes) on his end, but it's reassuring to know that Shuichi is as reliable as ever in being careful.

Ouma does what Shuichi asks, gesturing a hand up out of the water even with his eyes shut. Although it's weirdly comforting to have Shuichi's hands on his shoulders, especially when he can't see shit. ]

Yeah, sure. It's so you don't do anything totally inept and ruin my image of you, right? You've gotta live up to that description I just set for you, Saihara-chan!

[ Okay, Ouma. ]

[Wow, someone's feeling especially talkative.]

You're babbling.

[His tone is indulgent and good-humored, though, and he gives one of Ouma's shoulders a quick squeeze before letting go to start scooping water over his head. It'd probably be more efficient to just make him dunk his head again, but the soapy runoff is good for making sure everything gets clean.

Once he finishes with that -- much more neatly than Ouma had, if slower -- he drops a hand on top of Ouma's head as if to indicate that he's done, reaching with the other hand for the conditioner bottle. Because he's doing this right, dammit. Ouma will have a properly cleaned head at this this one time.]

Don't move just yet.

[ Listen, conditioner is an ultimate foreign concept for Ouma, so he's almost wondering What Else there's even left for Shuichi to do here. He opens his eyes again, not even needing to blink that much water off his eyelashes since Shuichi's done such a good job of rinsing him off neatly. He raises his brows in curiosity, but doesn't bother to look over his shoulder since that counts as moving, right? He'll play along for right now. ]

O-kay! Just don't do anything too crazy...

[ Because that's something to be expected from Shuichi.

At least he doesn't have to worry as much about potential life-threatening situations and shit around Shuichi -- no, it's just other things he ends up worrying about, like emotions and feelings and all that utterly obnoxious stuff. ]

[It's hard to say whether Ouma's teasing or just filling any quiet moment with more noise or what, but Shuichi sighs, tone dry.]

I really hope using conditioner isn't that crazy an idea to you...

[Unceremoniously, he squirts some of it into his hand and starts working that into Ouma's hair as well, concentrating on the ends. It's probably not as nice as shampooing with less scalp-massaging, but it's better not to rub conditioner into the roots where it already gets oily faster anyway.

At least he seems less nervous like this, right? Without Ouma looking at him and with a task to focus on, it's easier to ignore the awkward details like their mutal nudity, or Ouma's position kinda sitting between his legs, or the fact that this is kind of a weirdly intimate thing to do with someone he hasn't hung out with that much and honestly doesn't know very well (despite the whole sex thing, and the fact that it is still kinda nice).]

[There's a moment where he's distracted wondering what Ouma could possibly have been excited about. The answer hits him about the same time Ouma's hands settle on his bare knees, and he pressed his lips together slightly, flushing. His slip might go entirely unnoticed with this positioning, at least, save for maybe his slight tensing that Ouma might be able to feel in his legs.

Ugh. Chill.]

I think you need to know a lot more than just basic haircare to be a stylist...

[He knows it's a joke, but it's an easy distraction to latch onto. And besides, Ouma always seems to enjoy it more when he engages with the bullshit rather than just ignoring it or dismissing it immediately.]

[ That bears clarification, okay. Ouma's not picky. Although if Shuichi were his stylist, he might become picky just to mess with him a bit.

Ouma does catch the slight tension in Shuichi's legs not long after Ouma's hands had settled on them, and the urge is strong to just turn around on the spot to see what he's potentially missing.

... Oooor he could play dumb here and make it worse. His mischievous smile is at least equally hidden in this position as he slides his hands further up to settle them on Shuichi's thighs, feigning a relaxed sigh as he leans back even more -- although it's not entirely feigned, because this really is all very comfortable for him. ]

And I'd pay you handsomely! My payment methods include money, soda pop, and sex -- so it's definitely rewarding work. Maybe I'd even let you pick a power structure or two to usurp if you're good.
