Which is to say, welcome to the morning after Ouma and Shuichi's game went a little further than it probably should have. Ouma had ended up killing even more time in the tacky love hotel by giving it another, more thorough investigative sweep -- not that he found anything particularly useful, but it's good to know the layout of the place and what exactly can all be found in there item-wise. Who knows what might end up being useful or relevant in this mutual killing game fiasco. Although he lowkey hopes some of the shit he found never ends up being relevant -- but knowing Miu, it's possible.

So Ouma's a little sleep deprived, between staying out that much later and...the general exhaustion...plus his inability to stop thinking about it. Even though he'll act like he slept like an absolute baby, 'cause he's a liar. He's even dragged himself to the cafeteria for breakfast, because that's how utterly unaffected he is. Plus, he is hungry.

Thankfully (but also annoyingly, because now he's gotta go see what they're up to right now), most of the ~*~student council~*~ of Angie's, aka the brainwashed idiots, aren't really around right now. That leaves...Korekiyo, Maki, Miu, and Kaito. What a wack group. Although one of the others might show up later...or altogether, since they're teaming up. No Shuichi either, which is interesting.

But not unsurprising, he supposes.

He doubts anything would've happened to him, but there's a paranoid part of him that kind of wonders.

He's almost considering just nabbing some snacks and taking them up to his room right now, because this is pretty uninteresting!! No fights breaking out or anything. Plus, the meal quality around here has really taken a nosedive since Kirumi's death. Oh, well...

The Monokubs will probably show up to say something inane, so he should stick around. ]

[ Ouma feels another simultaneous shiver and surge of arousal when Shuichi grips his hair tighter and starts stroking him in earnest. He halts halfway through opening Shuichi's jacket because of this, instead gripping at each side of jacket front he's already separated for now as he shamelessly rolls his hips up in response to Shuichi's touch. He's pretty turned on by this point, with his chest visibly rising and falling from how much his breathing has sped up by now -- but that's not going to stop him from trying to gather his bearings for a second after processing Shuichi's words, just so he can edge in a cheeky response. ]

Hmm...? Yeah sure...if you can actually get me there.

[ Alright, he's insanely curious about why Shuichi wants that information, but he doesn't have much time to mull on it when he feels Shuichi's teeth right there beneath his ear.

There's a quiet whine in response to that as he tenses up a little more, which kind of detracts from his bratty statement, but y'know. ]

[That standard cocky, bratty bullshit really has no weight to it like this, his own body so immediately giving him away. Shuichi's trying so hard to stay focused, not letting Ouma distract him with any nonsense, as well as keeping a step ahead of his own nerves, but he still can't help but laugh a little against Ouma's skin.]

That...doesn't really seem very hard.

[Though something here is very hard and Shuichi's got a pretty firm grip on what it might be.

But god, it's so weirdly thrilling to be able to get such clear responses out of Ouma so easily and without any misdirection or lies to pick through and make sense of. For just a moment he can appreciate it, all the little sounds and shivers, skin over-warm and breath too fast, all satisfying and exciting in a way that almost entirely makes up for the very one-sided nature of this situation.

But best not to appreciate it too much. He has a task to focus on, and he's worried he'll fuck it up if he's distracted.

So he smothers his smile against Ouma's throat, pressing a few open-mouthed kisses there before moving up to bite at his earlobe directly. His fingers at the back of Ouma's head shift in just a little so his nails can dig into the scalp in a line just above the nape of his neck.]

[ God, now Ouma's embarrassed, which is really not what he wants to be -- his face becomes more flushed between Shuichi's retort and everything Shuichi's doing, and Ouma's brows knit in newfound frustration. He releases Shuichi's jacket with one of his hands to bring it up so he can cover his mouth with the back of it, stifling a moan as Shuichi keeps going at his neck.

Shuichi's really not giving him a chance to catch up, either -- he ends up shuddering slightly when Shuichi bites his ear and digs his nails in, jerking his hips in a rougher way up against the other. He's...really getting close here, and he's not sure how to deal with that, because it feels so much quicker than last time. Granted, the attention wasn't solely on him last time, and Shuichi wasn't very obviously trying to exploit every little thing that might get him riled up. His head is spinning a bit and his breathing is turning more ragged, especially with his hand over his mouth. ]

[He almost wants to pull Ouma's hand away, keep him from covering up or smothering his own sounds at all. But both his hands are, fortunately for Ouma, a bit occupied at the moment, so he settles for just tilting his head up slightly, trying to peer at Ouma's face from this unideal angle.]

[It sounds like it. Feels like it, in every shiver and jerking under his mouth and hands. It's making him nervous, afraid he'll accidentally push Ouma over the edge before he wants to. But Ouma's been good and he just...wants to give him the chance to do as he was told, maybe.

He's still anxious, though, so he detaches his mouth from Ouma's skin and leans back to he can watch the other boy's face, pulling on his hair to angle it more upright. It's...definitely distracting in its own right, prettily flushed and expressive in such a raw, genuine way, nothing like Ouma's normal wide grins and overdramatic distress. Jesus, he can feel his own face heating up just looking at it. His stroking slows a little, grip loosening a teensy bit either from his attention splitting or his nerves about hitting the finishing line too soon.]

[ Yeah, he's super close, and Shuichi pulling on his hair again just gets him even closer.

...At least, until Shuichi's stroking falters like that. Geez.

Ouma's brows knit in frustration again, and he tries shooting a dissatisfied look in Shuichi's direction, but it's not very effective between heavily-lidded, glossy eyes and his hand over half his face. ]

[ Wait, that's not a word, because he's moaning against his hand. He doesn't really want to move his hand either for obvious reasons, but god, with Shuichi's pace slowing and how flustered he feels having Shuichi look at him like this, he decides he probably ought to. So when he moves his hand off his mouth, he's going to kind of push it against Shuichi's face with a whiny groan, as if to obscure Shuichi's view or get him more out of his personal space or whatever while he answers. ]

[ Idly, he wonders how Shuichi of all people, is getting him this riled up and exposed -- although if he had to pick, he'd actually want it to be Shuichi, so there's his gay thought of the moment. This sure is something!!! ]

[Good boy. Shuichi almost -- scratch that, he absolutely does feel bad about the shit he is about to pull here. Enough that he certainly won't protest the hand getting shoved in his face, simply ducking away from it and letting go out Ouma's hair to halfheartedly bat it away.]

Even if the thought did cross his mind, he didn't exactly think Shuichi would have the balls to do this. It just goes to prove that Shuichi still has ways of exceeding his expectations, which would be insanely interesting if it weren't directly affecting him in the worst way possible right now. Ouma looks absolutely overcome and stunned at the same time, disgruntlement quickly becoming apparent as half-groans, half-whines and grabs at Shuichi's jacket tighter. ]

[ He does try to move, but then Shuichi's hand is there, being annoying.

Fuck this, he's too aroused and desperate and can barely focus on anything as is -- he reaches down with the hand Shuichi had just batted away from his face to try and resort to just touching himself if Shuichi's going to leave him hanging on the edge like this.

All his mental strength has been saved up and he's been so intently focusing on what he needs to say that all he can do is just...blurt it out before he loses the words.]

And really, Ouma can only blame himself here. What was his lesson again? "You have to corner a liar psychologically"? This totally counts as psychologically, right?]

[ This is not the kind of psychological manipulation Ouma had in mind, okay. And there's definitely a physical component here, too!!

Ouma does end up contesting Shuichi's grip on his arm, considering using his other one instinctively, but...he realizes Shuichi would just end up grabbing that one too, and he'd at least like to keep a hand free, just in case. He frowns up at Shuichi, looking both confused and cheated and still way too worked up as he searches the other's expression. ]

Huh...?

[ Oh my god.

It all clicks pretty quickly that Shuichi is using this as an attempt to make him straightforward. Jesus christ. It's...admittedly not a bad move, but Ouma can't help but be irritated over everything right now. He did say Shuichi was the best at cutting through his lies, but this is most certainly not what he thought would be the outcome.

Thinking is already difficult like this, which isn't ideal, and every passing second just gets Ouma more needy for attention again. He still feels hot and practically shaky, and his hips fidget to hardly any avail with Shuichi's grip on him. His eyes look sideways as he tries to do the conversation thing. Thanks, Shuichi. ]

[ That could mean a few things -- it helps he doesn't know what kind of investment Shuichi's put into this, anyway.

Ouma doesn't expect nor ask for people to like him, and he's aware that he's kind of been teasing Shuichi into this shit repeatedly. ]

[Ugh. Shuichi frowns, eyebrows drawing together and cheeks flushing with consternation. It takes a moment of silent struggle for him to find new words, after how hard he'd been focusing on just getting the previous ones out smoothly.]

That's not... Don't avoid the question. Just...can't you be honest just this once?

[It's not even as if that evasiveness is at all telling. Sure, it could mean something potentially nice that Ouma's just embarrassed to say. It could also mean Ouma's just fooling around and knows Shuichi might put a stop to it if he admits it.

It does occur to him that he could be shooting himself in the foot here. Even if Ouma does by some chance actually like him, that could really quickly be turning into past tense. Effectively blackmailing a dude into talking about feelings via orgasm denial probably isn't very attractive, and the look Ouma was giving him was sincere for once but certainly not happy.

Shuichi wilts a little just thinking of it. He doesn't ease up on his restraining grip -- he's come too far to just abandon it all now without even getting an answer -- but he can't maintain that pointed stare at Ouma's face, searching for any truths he won't say aloud. His gaze drops to the side almost shamefully and he bites at his lip.]

[As if "please" is all it would take to make this work out right. But how else can he communicate what he wants to? He can't give in now, and the words for it won't come to him anyway, but there's weariness and a faintly desperate edge in his tone that he can only hope says it for him -- how much this is driving him nuts, how it eats at him not knowing and messing around as if he's okay with either option.]

[ Listen, he's kind of got his own desperate edge going on here.

Ouma's heart feels like it's beating too hard and too fast, and he thinks that Shuichi really chose the wrong time to do this, but he's also not surprised they've arrived to this point. Ouma exhales, rough and long, clenching his hands tighter as he wills the buzzing in his head to settle down long enough for him to figure out how to deal with this.

-- And then he's going to release his grip on Shuichi's jacket, just so that he can make a grab for the collar of his oxford instead, intending to pull Shuichi's face closer to his to make Shuichi look at him. If Shuichi's gonna pull this, he can at least do that much, Ouma thinks. ]

Seriously? For a detective you can be so dumb...

[ Ouma starts, still sounding breathy but his tone is at least laced with something lower and more genuine -- and slightly irritated, but that's a given. ]

If I weren't serious...do you think I would've even let you do this...?

[ God, he's so hard, and everything is awful.

Still, he manages to be stubborn with this, as flustered as he is right now, yanking a little tighter with his grip to make A Point. ]

So...you better be serious too, Saihara-chan.

[Shuichi looks a little like he'd like to crawl into a hole somewhere and die, even while pinning a dude down and kinda semi-intentionally edging him, so Ouma suddenly yanking at him like that is a bit of a shock to the system. It has the desired effect, though, Shuichi meeting Ouma's gaze with wide eyes if just for a moment before glancing away, and then back again like he can't decide how much he wants to cling to that avoidance. He settles somewhere in the middle, head angled down but looking up at Ouma through his long lashes.

Just...oh. Um.

There's a hell of a pause, Shuichi running through Ouma's words and his tone and expression and every other little detail at a rapid pace, uneasy and searching still for any hint of dishonesty but finding none. Just....fuck, there are still plenty of unanswered questions there -- why go for it in the first place if he wasn't sure if it was mutually serious and he actually cared about that? That does imply that he cares, right? -- but Shuichi is running into one big brick wall here, one that has him frozen in place awkwardly hunched over Ouma.]

...R-really? [Yes, he really is dense enough that despite all evidence and his own suspicions, he's still surprised and a little disbelieving.] So...I mean, by that you mean you...

[He trails off, mouth working soundlessly for a moment as he aims for extra clarity and falls short in his anxious awe. He is very pink right now. And...god, it's not even like he really knows how he feels, just that he does like spending time with Ouma and he wants to know more about him and he felt awful last night and early this morning, wading in the uncertainty and flippancy of what had seemed like a meaningless one-time thing. "Serious" probably wasn't the word he should have used, what if Ouma means something else by that, he should have...shit is he serious? By whatever definition of that they're using? Is it selfish to be holding off on figuring that out until he knows what's going on in Ouma's head?

There's a lot rushing through his head right now and, unfortunately, none of it is really conducive to remembering what he was doing and getting back to taking care of his poor tormented partner here. Sorry, Ouma, he really isn't trying to be awful right now, he's just a little overwhelmed.]

[ There's a loud, frustrated groan from Ouma, and he kind of wishes he could bury his face in something right now. If he had more of his bearings about him, he might try to push Shuichi over or something, but he's really in no position for that.

[There's a second or two where he's just surprised to be released and a little frustrated by the lack of an answer. But his brain catches up with his emotions a second later and, oh, right, he has been kinda leaving Ouma hanging here, huh...]

[He hurriedly releases Ouma's wrist where's he's got it pinned. It's not like there's any point in ensuring Ouma follows the rules at this point. He's already gotten an answer, sort of. One he definitely wants more expansion on, but...this is probably pretty cruel, if Ouma's resorting to begging.

It shouldn't be embarrassing just getting back to it after just a few minutes, particularly with Ouma underneath him so far beyond any concept of shame, but give him a break. He was in The Zone before and broke out of it pretty abruptly. His hand sliding back over from Ouma's hip to his cock is tentative at first, but after a moment he shakes his head like it can shake off the frankly ridiculous hesitation and strokes him with some proper pressure.

He feels a shiver run up along the back of his neck again with the returned stimulation, and his body seems to respond to it all too warmly and all too openly. Getting back into the swing of his previous tactics is harder. That was fueled by such an objective purpose and right now he's not even sure what happens after this, no goal to focus on beyond actually getting Ouma off. It doesn't help that that slight sense of relief he'd love to latch onto and ride out is a lot more conducive to sweet, sappy gestures than the rough treatment Ouma seems to like most. Even knowing it's very much wanted, it's hard to reconcile that fact with the disparity between apologizing one moment and causing pain the next. He's just really not in the right headspace for that shit right now.

But he does try, his strokes becoming a little firmer and his free hand coming up to cup the side of Ouma's face and tug at whatever strands of hair are closest to his fingers. He doesn't know what happens next, if they'll be able to talk properly or if Ouma will flee immediately or get revenge or what, but he can at least try to finish this as best he can.]

[ At least it doesn't take much at this point for Ouma -- just that little extra thoroughness to his strokes, the added sensation of having his hair lightly pulled on -- it's really enough to get him back to where he was. His hips roll up with urgency, and his own fingers tangle in the back of Shuichi's hair as he tenses. There's kind of a pathetic moan, and he exhales loudly through his nose as he seemingly starts to break off from kissing Shuichi.

Although his lips only brush lower over Shuichi's, and he ends up biting down on Shuichi's lower lip and gripping the other's hair tighter as he comes hard, entire body shuddering against Shuichi's in the process as he brokenly whines in his throat.

It's over too soon for him to really dwell much on any of it. Shuichi's left still on his knees on the bed over Ouma's debauched form, still fully dressed but for the jacket Ouma was tugging open, and mostly clear-headed if he doesn't let himself stare too much at Ouma all boneless and flushed and breathing heavily, or think too much about the fact that he is kinda half hard himself.]

[There's a large part of him that wants to fuss more directly -- brush the long bangs out of Ouma's face, pull him close while he comes down from that high, hold him so he can't run off the moment he's recovered. Everything's coming back to him, and he blinks up at Shuichi almost lazily beneath his eyelashes for a few seconds before decidedly gathering some energy again. He moves his arm up to grab at Shuichi's jacket at the shoulder, probably half tugging it off when he tries pulling Shuichi down closer to him again -- he notices the awkward distance Shuichi is creating, and he's just not having that. ]

And to think...I was gonna be reeeally nice to you tonight...

[ He mutters the words thoughtfully, almost more to himself than Shuichi, but it's clear that he only bothered saying them so Shuichi can be left thinking about what that even means...

Ouma could bring his other hand up and just force it, but he's still feeling his post-orgasm languidness and kind of wants to boss Shuichi around anyway, so. ]

[Nice as that expression is, Shuichi can't tell at all what might be going through Ouma's head at this point. He has some theories, sure, but none of them are very optimistic. He half expects to get smacked or something, so he isn't surprised when Ouma grabs him but he does flinch a little.

But no punishment for his bullshit comes, just Ouma's soft voice and typically ambiguous words. Shuichi peeks at him through those thick, dark eyeslashes, seemingly teetering between nervous uncertainty and faint amusement.]

[Just given how Ouma had been acting, how he went about things last night..."nice" to him probably meant something sexual. Which, admittedly, doesn't sound bad, just...even if something like that is good in its own way, it's not what he wanted, and he can't help but think Ouma would have never said anything at all along those lines if Shuichi hadn't pressed the issue.

But kissing is a good sign, probably. Shuichi goes a little pink, somehow looking a little surprised despite everything, but he nods a little.]

[And before last night, that same command would have had him blushing furiously and stammering in disbelief. That's growth right there.

It isn't smooth by any means, of course, but he props himself up on the arm Ouma hasn't caught with a hand set on the mattress on the other side of Ouma's head, boxing him in, and leans down to kiss him. He can't even begin to guess how Ouma wants it right now, deep or rough or what, so he keeps it soft and chaste, a welcome contrast (in his own opinion) from the direct, intense manner he'd kind of exhausted himself emotionally with.]

[ In his current state, the tamer way that Shuichi is kissing him is actually quite welcome -- although there's not much Ouma can think of off the top of his head in terms of Shuichi kissing him that he wouldn't be welcome to. Ouma tilts his head slightly into it, sighing in a satisfactory way through his nose as his hands heedlessly move to finish what he'd started earlier with undoing Shuichi's jacket.

Whenever he's finished that is when he'll break off from kissing Shuichi, pushing lightly against Shuichi's chest with the flat palm of one of his hands as he uses the other to tug the jacket itself more off Shuichi's shoulders again, making it pretty clear what he wants (and can't quite do himself with Shuichi boxing him in like this).

Ouma looks Shuichi directly in the eye before he speaks again, finally able to hold a completely even (and potentially stern) tone again, even if his voice is far from being loud right now. ]

[It's really pretty clear what Ouma's going for here, and Shuichi's not sure what to make of that, but he complies easily enough, shifting to one arm and then the other to shrug the jacket off his arms. Even as act as innocent as just taking his blazer off, something he does every night when training with Kaito, feels weirdly intimate and indecent like this.

He doesn't want to pull away, though. This moment feels too dangerously transient, like Ouma might just take off on him the moment he's given the space to do so.]

[Is being asked that in the first place promising? Is Ouma going to turn around and deny him immediately? Who fucking knows at this point. He looks a little on edge even as he says it, a little hopeful but too wary of all the ways Ouma could jerk him around right now.]

[ It's pretty clear Ouma's getting his bearings back at this point, because he suddenly smiles brightly at Shuichi's response, his tone even carrying a certain level of energy in it again. ]

I'm fine with that!

[ Although some of that playfulness immediately dissipates when he follows up that statement: ]

But I'm only going to talk to you if you get on your back.

[ He's still sounding pretty carefree though for someone who just dealt with...all that mess... He's still smiling at Shuichi, anyway. ]

[Okay, that shit? That is the opposite of comforting, coming from Ouma. The cheerful, playful manner is his default mask and Shuichi very much doesn't like not knowing where Ouma might be going with this, unable to read anything in that beyond an ominous feeling that might just been his own paranoia.

He frowns slightly, visibly unsure.]
